It is an endemic species distributed only in south Andaman Islnad. Nothing is known about its ecology, habits and habitat.

Conservation Status:

This species is listed as Critically Endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).


According to IUCN Red List assessment, population is declining all over its range. There is nothing known about its population. Habitat destruction due to logging and agricultural expansion are the major threats to survival of this species in wild.
